Fastest way of assigning images to combinations?

I've been enjoying the new product page in Prestashop 8.1.1, however I came across an issue. The module that I was using to quickly assign my photos to correct combinations is not compatible with Presta 8, and the developer said that they're not planning on updating it anymore. I realize that there is a way to do it via the combinations tab, however that method is significantly less time efficient than our old mode - it's a set of a couple different combinations so I have to do a lot of filtering to not make a mistake while assigning the image. I can't find any other good module that would do the trick. Has anyone figured out a better way of doing this?

In theory not, but the other ones I've found either aren't compatible with my setup or aren't much faster, if at all.

You can do that with Prestools. On the image-edit page you have an option "assign combinations". It is only in the latest versions.

You are a life saver, I thought you can only do that with Prestools via the combination edit page. This one's very close to our previous setup. Thank you so much again.
