Cannot install several modules - PS 1.4.0.17

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

About a week ago I installed PS 1.4.0.17 onto a professional host. I also have the same installation running on my server at home. On my server at home everything works fine. On the new host I'm having trouble installing several modules:

* Wishlist block v0.2 by PrestaShop
* Product Comments v2.1 by PrestaShop

The error message I receive is:

The following module(s) were not installed successfully:
- blockwishlist
- productcomments

I'm thinking maybe something goes wrong with directory- or file-permissions. I've tried various permission-settings but I can't get it to work.

Does anyone have an idea what could be going wrong?

Thanks in advance!

With regards,
Albrecht

(PS: I also tried installing PS 1.4.1. This installation is more troubling as it has even more modules I cannot install...)

Thanks for your reply. The only error-log I have access to on my host has the following information, I doubt it's helpful but I'll post it anyway:
