Promo code for guest users after order

Hi,
I want to give to customers who have ordered as a guest a discount promo code for their next order and I want to do this manually. Once their order arrive in their house, a small card will be included with the promo code. So, I have created a promo code and I set it to be available only to guest group. What I don't understand is how prestashop can verify who is who since the promo code field appears before the 1st step, before someone puts their email. Is it possible to verify it according to the email which have used at the last order as a guest ?

You can limit code for one order. One guest = one promo code you attached to order.

just wondering what prevent the guest to login (as customer)? 

or in a more direct way, what would happen if the shop require buyer to be customer (do sign up) instead of just be a guest? 

Maybe I could learn something from your situation. So far that I am aware, as seller, I want my buyer to be customer for better follow up and marketing material distribution next time.
