BO without access on 1.6.1.24 after server upgrade

Hello Fellow Geeks, we have a bunch of PS stores (14) and 90% are running 1.6.1.24 (I know, they must upgraded sooner or later) yet they are performing well, besides the fact that we have been hacked a few times but mostly at a server level, recently the server was upgraded and all the FO work, customers can log in yet we cannot log in the BO, it asks for email and password yet it doesn't redirect.

Could there be a hack to access the BO so we can follow up on customers while we parallel upgrade and do some testing?

We spoke to GoDaddy and they said it was most likely caused by the scripts running Prestashop are no longer compatible, the odd thing is that customers can log into the FO yet we cannot log into the BO.

Examine the server logs for any error messages related to PrestaShop or the login process. Check for any PHP errors or warnings that might be causing the issue.
