Prestashop 8.04 faceted search not working woth search bar

Hi

I have installed prestashop 8.04. When I search for products with the default search bar on the top right of the home page I can not see the faceted search moduled on the left column on the search result page. 

When using a different search tool from another module everything works fine.

Any suggestions?

Check hooks and also have you set any filters on faceted search settings? ( dont use faceted search with other search modules enabled ).

Yes the hooks are DisplayLeftColumn and DisplaySearch. Should I hook it somewhere else?

Yes I have created a new filter , assigned the product page at the top and selected all categories of products. I have also rebuilt all indexes.

When I select a manufactor from the stock prestashop menu such as Hyundai I get the correct reply with the faceted search working.

The problem was the setup of the search page as a two colum page. You can do it in the backoffice seetings for the classic theme.
