Recommended Posts

Hi

I started recently using the prestashop as a solution, so dont expect to much from me. I have high php, html skills, still have some difficulties implementing the paypal solution on my new shop . What I get is the following error :

Please refer to logs:

1. PayPal response:
2. TIMESTAMP -> 2011-05-04T12:52:48Z
3. L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10002
4. L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Security error
5. L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid
6. L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error
7. PayPal returned error

Ive read most of the forum comments, on it, aslo found persons who had the same issue, followed the suggested links still didnt eneded up at a proper solution for it. The forum contains to many informations and as usual ppl tend to discuss about other issues.

Can somebody describe a "Soultion to implement Paypal" for Dummys....

Background.

The module that Im using is : PayPal v2.4
Also the paypal information API etc have been already configured.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi there, thank you for your response Partner. I have tried the theme thats already in prestashop and that didnt work either. I have uninstalled paypal many of times, even uploaded it tfp non passive way, nothing seems to help and i still get the no template found for module paypalpayment. Google check out works but paypal is the one i need to use and i just cant get it to work. Website is www.outforthecount.co.uk if that helps you to come up with any other suggestions for me, am really desperate for this to work and at this rate ill be going back to simple zen cart lol !

I just checked your site, it seems that you are running it at catalog mode, not "add to cart" button. So i am not able to try it.

I also read a thread that some customer said the module send to wrong server, for example you account is at UK, but it send information to FR. I am not sure if this is the case.

Can you also check that you running at Sandbox mode or at real service mode?

if you use real Paypal account but set as Sabevbox (testing), then the security will occurs.
if you use Sanebox account for real service mode, also the security will happen

Hi there I tried with sandbox and without. I think something has been deleted or moved somehow. As I created a fresh subdomain, created another shop on it with the same template and the paypal works fine. Trouble is I have a lot of products already and dint want to do a full clean install. Any other suggestions ? Thanks for your help though ! Much appreciated !

The few things I noticed between the two shops I created was the new one I done the paypal module was installed under payments and gateways tab, where as the shop that's not working it keeps installing paypal under the other modules tab. Also when you click on shipping in bo the working ship had a list of currencies accepted etc and a couple of others but the non working shop has nothing under shipping except no payment modules installed even though it is. Thanks

based on the information you provided, I have two options to suggest.
But before do anything, make full backup of both website and database.

1. Assume problem is in the files (some file is damaged), db is OK.
- Copy all your working site file to the one has problem, see what happens.

2. Assume problem is in database (some database table is not installed correctly)
- Connect your problem site to the new database, just changes the DB related setting at /config/settings.inc.php

Hope you could sort it out.
Good luck!

Hello!

I´m having the very same problem. I´m using Prestashop V1.3 and the Paypal module 2.4. I got the credentials from Paypal Sandbox and configure with template A, B and C, but nothing works. I get the following message:

PayPal response:
TIMESTAMP -> 2011-05-11T03:26:57Z
L_ERRORCODE0 -> 10002
L_SHORTMESSAGE0 -> Security error
L_LONGMESSAGE0 -> Security header is not valid
L_SEVERITYCODE0 -> Error
PayPal returned error

Any suggestions?

Solved my problem!

1 - Cut and past the password doesn´t work, I had to type manually;
2 - For unknow reason I was using the Teste account and API username with the same string.

Now it´s working, but It´s not allowing me to login using my own login information. I don´t know if it´s a security rule or it´s not working, since I have no other Paypal account to test. I will search for this answer now.

Good to know you have fixed your issue.

1 – Cut and past the password doesn´t work, I had to type manually;

I guess you have copies some extra space characters. This happens if you do not copy carefully.

Now it´s working, but It´s not allowing me to login using my own login information.

You can not use the same account as buyer and business. It is Paypal system specification.

If you think your problem is solved, please mark it as SOLVED by edit your first post and click "mark as solved" button. thanks
