myndcraft
I've had problems installing 1.1 lately (I swear someone corrupted the upload or something), but thats covered in this thread. So today I decided to try taking my 1.1 install that works and move it to a live server so I• Exported the SQL database• Modified the settings.inc.php file• imported the databse• copied up the install • checked all permisionsAnd violla! Everything worked. The stores (test and live) look the same, they both work, they have the same data everything. So after adding a product on the live store today I noticed something odd... The demo products have REAPPEARED. If I go to the home page I see the products under "new products" and if I click them it goes to their product page. Log into the backend and the product doesn't exist anywhere. Check the database via phpMyAdmin though and sure enough there are new entries in the product table. So how did these reappear? Why are they not listed in the backend? And how do I get rid of them again? (IE are there related entries in other tables?)At this point I am beyond baffled between this and the other problem I am having (see earlier thread)Shop URL is http://ssbeachgolf.com/shopI have no problem providing back end access to anyone who can help me figure out what the hell is going on here or why a fresh install of 1.1 isnt working in the first place.~Close to insanity
TropischBruin
Are you on a shared server with other sites using PS?
myndcraft
There is another site on the server that has a ps install (a test I was working on), but its under another vhost and they are not sharing the same database (not to mention totally seaprate db users/passwords)

Dave Egerton
I am not seeing any demo images myself (except the home featured main image)Are you sure its not a cache issue? Also, follow the path to the image that should not be there and see if its actually on your server via ftp
myndcraft
I am not seeing any demo images myself (except the home featured main image)Are you sure its not a cache issue? Under the new products block on the lower right do you see entries for Standard Head CoverPrototype Head CoverShure SE210 Sound-Isolating Earphones for iPod and iPhoneEvolved from personal monitor technology... Housse portefeuille en cuir Belkin pour iPod nano - Noir/ChocolatLorem ipsum MacBook AirMacBook Air is ultrathin, ultraportable, and... The Shure headphones, Nano thing, and macbook air should not be there. I deleted their products and somehow they managed to be back. I sent the page to a friend who hasn't viewed my site and he sees them.
Guest
Could you simply manually wipe the product under phpmyadmin...
myndcraft
Could you simply manually wipe the product under phpmyadmin... I could, and probably will (although I think multiple tables constitute a product entry and I have to track everything down since the items don't show up in the back office), but the bigger concern is HOW did this happen? And what's to stop them from magically appearing again?

myndcraft
I just turned off the new products block because I need to get the store up and running, but take a look at this.http://ssbeachgolf.com/shop/product.php?id_product=9That should load a product page for you. That product should not exist I deleted it and then a short while ago it reappeared. As I said though it's like a phantom. If I go into the back office its not there anywhere! TropischBruin
I still think this has tod do with something else, if you delete it via you Back-end, is it still in you db when looking with MySQL Admin?
myndcraft
Thats the odd thing. When I deleted the item initially then yes it no longer showed up in PhpMyAdmin. Now since it has somehow returned the item is back in the database, but I'm guessing with incorrect data or not where it should be. My reason for saying this is that the item DOES NOT exist anywhere in the backend. So in essence I can't delete it again unless I do so thru PhpMyAdmin. The box is *ix and running Plesk.I have two installs of PS on the box that are in different domains. Additionally both are in separate databases with different credentials. The only thing they share in common is the table prefix, but seeing as they reside in separate databases I don't see how anything can be carrying over.[side note] the other database does not have the products in there ayways.
