Tomi14
If there is no main menu under the drop-down menu, everything is ok. However, when the page is collapsed, and the menu is in two rows, and I want to expand a menu item that is above another, the menu is transparent and escapes from under the cursor. AddWeb Solution
Hi, Use your browser's developer tools to inspect the HTML structure and CSS styles applied to the menu items when they're collapsed and spanning two rows. Check if there are any z-index or positioning properties applied to the menu items, their parent containers, or other overlapping elements on the page. Ensure that the parent container of the menu has the appropriate CSS properties set for overflow and clipping. If the parent container has overflow: hidden, it might clip the menu items that are expanding and cause the runaway behavior. Thanks!
wazz69
A "runaway menu" can refer to a few different things, depending on the context. If you're dealing with a digital interface, such as a computer software or a website, a runaway menu might mean a menu that's uncontrollable or behaving unexpectedly. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and fix such an issue: Refresh the Page/Restart the Software: Sometimes, a simple refresh of the page (Ctrl + R or F5) or restarting the software can fix unexpected behavior. Check for Updates: Ensure that the software or website is up to date. Sometimes, bugs causing runaway menus are fixed in updates. Clear Browser Cache: If the issue is with a website, clearing your browser cache might help. Cached files can sometimes cause unexpected behavior. Disable Browser Extensions: Some browser extensions can interfere with website functionality, including menus. Try disabling extensions one by one to see if any of them are causing the issue. Check for JavaScript Errors: Use the browser's developer console to check for any JavaScript errors. These errors can cause unexpected behavior, including issues with menus. Try a Different Browser: If the issue is specific to one browser, try using a different browser to see if the problem persists. This can help determine if the issue is with the software or the browser. Check for Conflicting CSS: If you're dealing with a website, there might be conflicting CSS styles causing the runaway menu. Use the browser's developer tools to inspect the elements and the applied styles. Contact Support: If the issue persists and it's related to a specific software or website, contact their support team. They may have encountered similar issues and can provide a solution. Check System Resources: If your computer is running low on resources (RAM, CPU, etc.), it can affect the performance of software, including menus. Close unnecessary programs and tabs to free up resources. Update Graphics Drivers: Outdated graphics drivers can sometimes cause graphical glitches, including issues with menus. Make sure your graphics drivers are up to date. If the "runaway menu" is related to a different context or has a different meaning, please provide more details, and I'll do my best to assist you further.
