Product comments module - disable star system not working

Module "Product Comments" -> Add new criterion -> Active = NO

does not work. it is mandatory to keep Active or the comment will not be saved from webpage. 

 

how to disable the star system, only want to receive comments about the product without star 1-5 selected. 

 

if enable ACTIVE= YES -> then saving a comment work.

More input is needed, such as:

• Which Prestashop,
• which module,
• when was the installation,
• what version was used,
• any updates from there on
• and so on.

Apologies, though everyone talks about 1.7. and the module is prestashop native module. 

 

Which Prestashop, : 1.7.8.8

which module, : Product Comments = Modules/Productcomments

when was the installation : 1month ago. 

what version was used : module? its prestashop module default!

any updates from there on : No , only basic theme and basic installation. nothing else. 

 

Everything works if i leave the ACTIVE=YES

but if i disable ACTIVE=NO -> the user inputting the feedback fails like in the photo.

:).. only want to collect texts. because 90% we tested just leaves the stars to default, its 3 (or can change to 5 or 1 etc) but its a bit not needed to input the stars. 

it is just seeming like the native app is broken or atleast not working the Active = NO setting. tried to browse all files in module folder but only found the 3 to 5 star setting. tried to disable the question / star but then it really breaks down. Was planning to hide it by forcing but thats a bad solution.

Hi. hmm. this should be a bug but no comments. 

 

just how to remove the star question -> if now use the module it then crashes and does not save feedbacks.

hi, you dont have to edit the module you can just do that with css
