JustJohn
We've got two brick and mortar stores (warehouses) that have identical products but quantities differ at each location. And we also have the Prestashop web store that agglomerates that data and sells online. So basically, if we have 3 red XL jackets at location A and 2 red XL jackets at location B, then the web store is supposed to have 5 available for order. We want to have this single "virtual" warehouse" for the web store, yet we also want to have warehouse filters in the very same web store that allow a visitor to browse only the goods currently in stock at a certain location (A or B). We can do that via combinations (sizes*locations), but the problem is that for filters to work the quantities for each of those combinations must be set, and then those combinations along with the location drop-down appear on product pages, confusing visitors who now need to pick a warehouse. Is it possible to keep "warehouse availability" filters yet keep a single virtual stock for ordering on product pages? I've tried hiding the dropdown, however there are cases when a wrong warehouse is selected by default on a product page which leads to "out of stock" message unless you select the correct location manually. El Patron
you could add warehouse 'feature', then in filters 'shop by warehouse', only products with that feature would be displayed.
JustJohn
We tried that. The problem with that approach is that features apply to the entire product and not its variations/combinations such as sizes in our case. And we need to filter out "jackets", "size XL", "warehouse A". That would work if features could be applied to a combination. There's also "Stock location" field for combinations but it's not possible to pull in Faceted Search module. Hi @Prestachamps, Leo I think you would have good advice on this beyond what I could offer.
