LiliCraft Posted March 24, 2023 Share Posted March 24, 2023 Hi, I'm using prestashop 1.7.8 and i can'tuse the contact form correctly it return everytime an error "An error occurred while sending the message..." I've checked eveything in Advanced Parameters => E-mail i've fill my personnal provider SMTP and if i test with the field below that work correctly and i received the mail. I've checked in Shop Parameters => Contact and everything is correct. Sadly in my website when i'm using the contact form that always give me the same error : "An error occurred while sending the message..." i can't fige what's the problem. Any help would be welcome. Prestachamps Posted March 27, 2023 Share Posted March 27, 2023 Hi @LiliCraft, Have you searched the /var/logs folder for any hints about a warning or an undefined variable? since the issue mostly certainly occurs after the email is sent. To be sure the problem is not with SMTP, you might also try sending the contact via sendmail rather than SMTP. Check to see if the contact form module has a newer version in Module manager -> updates, and check if it's working without error after updating it. You can try disabling any contact modules or rsubscription-type modules if you have these because one of them might be to responsible for the error you received after sending the email. Alternately, simply disable the non-Prestashop modules and/or overrides from the BO-> Performance page and test it again. Have a nice day, Leo. LiliCraft Posted May 3, 2023 Author Share Posted May 3, 2023 I've figured out what's happens, in fact i need to validate twice or that doesn't work. I don't know why but if i click submit a second time that works and i receive the mail. Do you have an idea about what's doing this?
