1.4.1 Tax rules don't work?

Well, I set up a fresh installation of 1.4.1

The shop has default setting charging VAT tax in EU and not charging TAX oustide EU.

Right, when I tried logging in as a USA customer, product prices update without VAT and the string "Price include tax" on the cart block disappears correctly, then something strange happens:

The price of items in the cart block and even in the cart summary is still including VAT, forcing me to complete, pay and check the order in the backenend with VAT, surprisly the PDF invoice is generated correctly without including any VAT as it should be.

I did not tried 1.4.017 but when I tried a 1.3.7 installation weeks ago as soon as a USA customer logged in, all prices changed without VAT and sure the order completed without charging VAT, same thing for the invoice.

Strange thing that I heard nobody complaining about the impossibility to use tax rules, so I hope there is a different explanation. Waiting any input, anyone else tested if tax rules work on 1.4.1?

It seems not many people have tried 1.4.1 stable" version..

Anyway the community works great, I found confirmation and a soultion in the bug tracker and the french forum here
