changing footer legal descriptions (Solved)

Trying to change the descriptions in the footer,  went to pages and changed them but they don't reflect on the footer.  Nothing happens although the text is correctly displayed behind.

I deleted legal notice and created privacy policy instead but it does not show here.  An legal notice remains

Any ideas?

So for anyone interested I figured it out.   

Goto Design>Pages
Make your mofifications as described above on V.1.7.8.8.  Delete and add as required and save.  You do this in module pages and make sure you save the data.

When you go to your home page you will see that any descriptions you have changed as above are not reflected on your home page but the text behind displays OK.

To make sure the footer descriptions change you must then go to
Design>Link List

Here you must select 'OUR COMPANY' and modify it

Then you see that any descriptions that you have changed will appear hear.  Click save and then your home page will change.
