warleb
So I use prestashop 1.78 and the PHP version I have to use is 7.4. On my host PHP 7.4 is no longer supported and now I have to pay for extended support on a monthly basis. I don't want to do that. You guys need to update prestashop to PHP 8.0 or above as this is getting silly
Jilardo
Hi. I was in such situation. I have decided that I will not pay a greedy hoster for something that others offer for free. Therefore, I found a new hosting with affordable prices and conditions. I performed the site migration, connected the monitoring https://www.host-tracker.com/en/ for the first time to monitor the site performance. If everything is done correctly, moving the site will not be difficult. Edited February 17, 2023 by Jilardo (see edit history)
ComGrafPL
Yes indeed, quite a lot of hosting companies doing that. Here in Poland we have most of them support 5.6 for free. So either change hosting or update PS to 1.8 ( which i don't recommend for live store ).
El Patron
change hosting, get plesk control panel and be the boss, you 'determine' what php you will or will not support. only cheap hosting pulls these tricks...and which they have put a lot of small shops out of business upping the php version without announcement.
