falken76
I can't find information that is recent on how to enable Gzip compression on prestashop. The only things I'm finding are from around 2010, and tons of paid modules. Surely this can be done without paying someone right? I also see a lot of this "Ask your host to enable it". I self host, so what do I do on the server to enable this? I see a lot of references to nginx and apache. Is this setup on prestashop itself or do we set gzip up in apache or nginx. Can someone point me in the direction of a tutorial that isn't well over a decade old? On a side note, has google gotten worse for search results? I had to use google and duckduckgo to search and duckduckgo found more relevant results. Oddly google was able to find this forum when duckduckgo struggled to find it. Rhobur
This is enabled already in the .htaccess created upon install but you need to have it server side enabled too e.g. mod_deflate, mod_gzip enabled as apache module
