RR13
Hello, i have a prestashop subscription ( SMB 8.0), where the server is directly hosted by prestashop, i have a custom domain name given by them. I would like to link my own domain to the hosted prestashop. And it seems there is no information on the A record that i should redirect to. I found in Preferences, where i can change the domain settings on the server, but i dont find anything on DNS records. Thank you for your time. Dizzee
the settings for that will be with whoever you bought the domain name from. look for web forwarding or domain forwarding to just send traffic to your prestashop or change nameserver to use your domain name with your prestashop hosting plan. If you want the shop to be displayed at your new custom domain name then you have a few options. I think your answer is here: Let me know how you get on Edited January 14, 2023 by Dizzee (see edit history)
RR13
Thanks for your response, Domain forwarding as a CNAME record would work but it woud lower my google referencing. I've read the post your linked, it seems that besides the shop and back office, i do not have any access to a general prestashop page of my account where i can set a new primary domain, maybe it's my SMB subscription but i find it hard to believe. Dizzee
I think what you are looking for is to change the nameserver. This is done with whomever you bought the domain with. But also requires configuring with your prestashop host.
