simirome Posted January 13, 2023 Share Posted January 13, 2023 Hello everyone i'm pretty new on prestashop with lots of questions and doubts! I already created my first item and first setup working well , my only problem is(at the moment): i can't send email through the shop .. for istance when i update the shipment or " processing " I asked my web hosting and they say that php_imap is not available on my web hosting ! Is there any other way to send email directly through prestashop ? when i update status of the purchase ? Could i run a imap server on my raspberry pi maybe? i have no idea.. thank you , i hope i was clear enough ! Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

simirome Posted January 13, 2023 Author Share Posted January 13, 2023 @endriu107 thank you for your prompt reply i try to explain myself better I use Classic them version 1.0.0 ( if that helps ) if i go to ORDERS ---> ORDERS Order status and i change it to " shipped" ( or any other status ) i get this warning : "an error occured while changing the status for order #6, or we were unable to send an email to the customer" now i suppose that when i change the status an email is sent " automatically "to customer " but i get this error ! Now if i go to ADVANCED parameters ----> EMAIL ( i attach a second image ) and i try to send a TEST email , well this works, i get email sent and over the test email address i get the TEST email! Last " problem " connected to this email setup is this.. if i go in CUSTOMER SERVICE select " 1 new message " i write an answer and i SEND it i get this error: Error - The following e-mail template is missing: reply_msg So all seems to be connected to email setting but i don't really know how to make those changing ! thank you for any further help ! simirome Posted January 13, 2023 Author Share Posted January 13, 2023 WAIT... i found the issue ! nothing was wrong with email setting BUT i never went to check on DESIGN ---------> EMAIL THEME GENERATE EMAIL ! i just didn't understand what was the purpose about EMAIL THEME ( i thought it was about the look .. theme ) but only when i click on " generate emails " it started to work ! Now if i reply to a custmer msg he received the email ! If i update the status, customer receive status update email ! i think i solved everything , hopefully will help others! thank you P.S. i just don't get why generate email must be " generate " in order to have it to work?
