Where is the product price located in the DB ?

Hi

I try to figure out where the product sell price is stored in the DB. I've found 2 locations and they are

ps_product
ps_product_shop

If I in 

ps_product_shop

change the price the change also take place in Backend and in Frontend, and it is all fine, but if I make the change in

ps_product

nothing at all happens neither in Backend, nor in Frontend. So what is then the price in

ps_product

all about, from where does it come and what is its purpose?

I ask for your help because I intend to set up a way of using Dolibarr as the center of my websites and when changing the price or other info about a product in Dolibarr, it will via SQL commands and Cron be distributed to my other sites. I intend to use the product reference to identify the product on all sites.
