Dealing with a high number of variants

Hi guys,

I have the situation that I want to create a product with many different possible combinations. In the worst case I end up with almost 50million different combinations and as PrestaShop seems to try to keep everthing in the buffer during calculation of a combination, the whole thing just dies. I am sure, I am not the first one with this topic but I coulndn't find what I am looking for in the forum so far.

Does anyone know a nice and elegant way of solving this issue?

Combinations are a bottleneck of PrestaShop. You need to look for modules allowing you to add additional fields to the product in a different way. 

AWP was a nice solution, but it's not maintained any more from what I heard.

I bet you don't have a separate stock for each of the 50M variants so modules like "additional product fields" should also do the job.
