Adding customer message to invoice on 1.7.8.7

Hi all, 
I wanted to add the customers message to the invoice on a prestashop 1.7.8.7.
However because its totally different than the older presta's i can not get my head around it.
I think it was supposed to come back in 1.6 but did not see it there either on the default invoice template. 
Anyone got a tip ? 

\Edit, inside shipping.tpl its called {$delivery_message}

Sorry @catzarov, should have explained it better, i mean the message that a customer can leave when he makes the order. I think it was {$order_detail.CustomerThread_message} to be put inside invoice.tpl but i am missing some steps
