HTTP 500 error everytime I delete products from back-end

Hello,

Everytime when I'm in the back-end I select 10 products to remove with a bulk action, I get the loading bar and then all of a sudden get a HTTP 500 error and nothing on the site works anymore. Then I need to manually rename the var/cache folder so a new one gets created and then the site works again. Anyone else has this problem?
I'm running the latest version of PS.

What are the specs of that server?

RAM i.e, alocated PHP memory as stated in php.ini?
