A module that steals data?

We received a module from a company that deals with loans. The module allows you to take credit while buying items. What caught my attention were the entries about collecting geolocation, customer data and even customer > store messages from the order. I can't find if this data collection applies to all users and orders or only those who have chosen to pay from the module used.
