Elena P.
Dear all, I have recently bought a Prestashop store and I'd need information to upgrade it from version 1.7.7.0 to the latest one. In particular: can I use 1-click-Upgrade module? Does it provide a backup and restore solution too? Thank you so much. Bye.

Yes you can use it. But do a manuall backuo on top just to be sure. Manual backup means create a zip of all files and store it + do a database dump e.g. in phpMyAdmin. While upgrading you will most probalaby face issues due to outdated theme or module, make sure you have latest versions available and always try the upgrade on a test instance of your shop before doing it on the live shop!

So the best method is the one you know how to use.
