Littlepants
I wonder whether anyone can help me. When a customer pays by card via stripe, almost invariably the order on my Prestashop back office shows that the payment has been made twice on the payments section of the order details. Quote Warning £26.36 paid instead of £13.18 DatePayment methodTransaction IDAmountInvoice 07-10-22 22:44:30Card via Stripech_3LqOLCH9Pfnor2LD1CMc6LJX£13.18 Details 10-10-22 10:49:26Stripe payment module£13.18#IN001144 The payment hasn't been made twice. It's just very annoying and irritating and there must be some setting which is wrong. Can anyone enlighten me please? TIA

Littlepants
I've spoken to my web man and he says Quote Your shop is v1.7.6.8. PHP is v7.3.33 recommended is 7.
Littlepants
Should I ask him to downgrade to 7.2. Will that sort the problem?
juanrojas
It could be the cause, but I would say that it is difficult to know, the best thing is that you do the test with the php that is compatible with your version
Littlepants
I downgraded the PHP and that worked regarding the double payments. However, since downgrading, automatic messages from the shop to hotmail addresses are being bounced. They weren't before I downgraded. Any ideas on that one? juanrojas
hello, a little strange I can't find the relationship, but if with 7.3+ it works well for you, then consider updating your prestashop
Littlepants
I'm already on version 1.7.6.8 . I updated fairly recently and it was a huge job. I don't want to do yet another upgrade
NSN
Use a other Stripe module. I had same issues with the official stripe module and could not get it fixed. After being annoyed by refunding double payments and explaining to customers I changed to a different module and the error never happened again.
