ramblingrose
This morning there were two updates found; Marketing with Google and PS Facebook (Prestashop 1.7.8.7) and i started the updates one by one. I don't use either of these modules but them updated anyway. The Marketing with Google update went fine but the PS Facebook update gave me an error (don't remember what it was). After that the modules page wouldn't load anymore and also I could not get into my backend and frontend anymore. Until now I simply have to clear /var/cache and everything comes back. Not this time unfortunately and the only thing left was through FTP. I can't find any information and I have no clue where the problem comes from so as a last resort I renamed the /modules/ps_facebook to /modules/ps_facebook.err. After that everything was back so I am relieved😅 The big question remains though; what happened and why can a failed update break the whole shop? Hopefully someone can shed some light/insight on what happened! Thanks!
ComGrafPL
Seems you're not only one. Best way would be waiting for module fix by dev's. https://github.com/PrestaShopCorp/ps_facebook/releases
ramblingrose
Understand. Thanks for the update! I suppose I can retrieve that specific module from a backup and place that back while waiting for the next update😅
