Suddenly can't edit customers in back office 1.7.8.7

Front and back offices have been working fine, until this afternoon. Suddenly we can't edit a customer's info. When we click to load a customer's info it spins forever and never loads. After that, the entire back office stops responding.

The back office lets us list products and click to edit them. It lets us list orders and click to view them. It will show the customer list but if we click to edit a customer it seems to go into an endless loop.

We are on a Linux server running php 7.4.30. I don't see any error messages. The back office Information page shows all required and optional parameters are ok.

Anyone have any experience with this? Or ideas?

Any new updates, modules, hosting upgrades? Check debug and console while inspect. That should show any issues.

Clear the cache.
