Impatient
Hi, I'm planning to duplicate my site (theme, modules, products etc) on a another hosting company to compare performance. I'm just looking for a better hosting at affordable price. How do you compare speed and performance of 2 twin sites on different hosting? What free tools do you recommend? Thanks Andrea
juanrojas
hello try with these tools https://pagespeed.web.dev/ https://gtmetrix.com/ help from a module also comes in handy for speed issues
Geo Burlibasa
You can use the tools that juanrojas recommended, you'll get some pretty good info. However, your focus needs to be on download and upload speed, I/O speed on the disk, server loading time, MySQL speed. I would run a script like this: https://github.com/hyperized/benchmark Keep in mind that under big-load the servers can behave totally different and it might depend on your shops if (for example) MySQL speed would be more important than download/upload speed. Nickz
the only reliable way is to use a script and ping from the server to an IP of your choosing.
