Filter Features by category (AdminFeatures tab)

Hi everybody.
As i pointed out in the "Edit features list order" topic, i was wondering if there is away, through editing Adminfeatures tab, to add some kind of filter which lets me select features of a certain category. Let me explain better:

Suppose I sell notebooks and videogames. Now I want notebooks to have some features like HDD, Ram, Screen size etc, which obviously don't belong to videogames. They would rather have features like developer, platform, genre.

I guess though major changes must be done do the database to achieve this result. I fear.

Anyone alreay manage to do such a thing? Thanks in advance


ps. I'd rather not do this though attributes nor accessories, because i don't want people to "select" their own's set when buyng, just want to display those features in the FO "features" tab.

Thanks for your answer. I'll follow your advice. Just an extra tip: would it be possilble to dynamically add this feature though some "Extended Products" module? If it is, I am planning to develop a module that extends a bit product customization, just wondering about how to implement new tabs in mysql db without messing it all up
