Product OOS causing Google indexing Server Error 500

I have posted a couple of times now, so clearly no one is clever enough to answer this question.  My error list is now 168.  I have proven it is caused by products being out of stock.  Any clues please?

Google indexing throws 500 server error on products showing OOS.

hello what is OOS?
Have you tried activating debug mode to see what is behind the 500 error?

No I haven't.  I am not that technical to interpret why the error occurs.  I know for fact that it is Google indexing that has the issue.  If I add stock to something that was OOS, then the URL checks fine and it allows reindexing.  Would you be king enough to tell me what I should be looking for in debug mode?

Many thanks

I don't see that url you publish on your website, when I search for that product it doesn't show the category or the ID in the url

but if I see the 500 error, activate the debugging mode to see if it shows something

I am using a product for rewriting the URL to a friendly URL.  This is the one that will take you to the product.

You should be aware of what Google Say.

Look at your screenshots. It was crawled using Googlebot Smartphone.

Did you debug with a smartphone ? Some modules may work differently than on computer using Context "isMobile"

Please debug on mobile first.

Thank you for your message.  I take your point, but I think this has nothing to do with that.  I am using a URL cleaner and I believe it has something to do with this.  I can see 2 differemt URL's for the same product, as example.

https://molesounds.co.uk/ernie-ball-classic-slinky-pure-nickel-single-string-028

Which is what the wide world sees, and.

https://molesounds.co.uk/302-ernie-ball-classic-slinky-pure-nickel-single-string-028

Which is what Google Indexing is seeing.

They are both the same of course, and if you use either in a browser it will take you to the same product.  This issue is something else.  I know for a fact that if I add stock to an item that previously had none, it will be submitted for indexing.  All the items in my error list have no stock. It is that, that I cannot fathom.

I think that if it has to do, if you enter that product from the mobile you cannot navigate

No it's not that, just tried and it does what it is supposed to. Not allow an order because there is no stock.  Good try

I do, I have a problem trying to navigate from that product, it won't let me, I have android

Do you not have the 3 lines of the drop down or the word categories above?

I value your comments, but this is the first time anyone has noticed your issue.

I really don't believe that my problem is linked to this though.

I have not said that I do not have them, nor that I am trying to add to the cart, I have said that it cannot be navigated, I click and nothing is displayed

Sorry, I misunderstood. Not sure what is happening there then as I am using Android and can certainly navigate.  That sounds like another issue I will have to look at.  Thank you for your responses.

The screenshot is about this URL : https://molesounds.co.uk/new-products

There are no relationship between URL cleaning and this page. Can you try to inspect this URL through Search Console to ensure that there a no errors for it ?

For the rest, your second URL https://molesounds.co.uk/302-ernie-ball-classic-slinky-pure-nickel-single-string-028 lead to a 404 for me !

In my opinion, 500 error is just because you were working on the website or server was overloaded when crawl was in process.

Check your sitemap and ensure that URL formatting is correct.

Check server logs at error date/time to see if something went wrong and could explain why this 500 error came out.

And please share more details about search console errors, take some products that are OOS, make a live inspect of URL to test it immediately and give us a return, we can't do it for you 😉

Hello, Thank you for your attention.  The first URL has no errors in Search Console. If I follow the second it takes me to the correct page.

The thing that I cannot fathom is how this is linked to zero stock items.  These pages all exist, but of course you cannot order them, look at other images, or display tabs, but they have valid url's.

As example.
