SSL keeps disabling itself

Hi.

I installed Prestahop 1.7.6.8 on one of my domains via 1-click module on OVH and have problems to activate SSL for the shop.

Previously (a year or two ago) installed it using the same method on another domain on the same hosting account and it was fine. Possibly it was older Prestahop. Maybe 1.6.x.x - not sure. SSL activated fine then.

 

Now I activate it and when refreshing the settings page it shows up as inactive again.

Other domains and subdomains on the same hosting account seems fine and they open https pages by default.

Some time ago I added a few lines to .htaccess to force SSL for all the pages. This doesn't work on on Prestashop only

 

I follow steps as below:

 

1. I go to Configure > Shop Parameters > General and click blue link on the top to check if the shop supports SSL:

 

 

2. Then I see this screen, but I click to accept the risk, that opens admin panel via https protocol:

 

 

 

 

3. Then I see that and click YES to enable SSL:

 

 

4. After enabling it looks like that:

 

 

5. I scroll down and click SAVE. However main shop activity list (and a few shorter lists on the same admon page) looks weird and I can't select anything there (tried Firefox, Chromium and Chrome on Linux and Windows - all the same)

 

 

 

6. Finally after click SAVE I can see that: Successful update, but SSL keeps disabling itself again:

 

 

 

Any tips how to solve it please?

 

SSL works fine for that domain. Joomla on a subdomain of that domain is fine with SSL. Other generic html pages also works fine.

Any help will be much appreciated.

Problem solved .

 

Noticed here:

https://devdocs.prestashop.com/1.7/basics/installation/system-requirements/

that PS 1.7.6.8 requires PHP up to ver 7.2, but I was using 7.4.

Changed it to 7.2 and all works fine. Also selection lists looks normal and I can choose various options there. It's not like on the screenshots above.

I prefer newer PHP, so probably will upgrade PS to 1.7.8, but at least I know where the problem is.
