hashtagcv
Hi all, I am having some issues with my SEO. Google is seeing multiple urls for the same page. Below is the example https://domain.com Then Google also sees the below urls: https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=2 https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=1 https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=1&SubmitVat=1&vat=0 https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=2&SubmitVat=1&vat=0 https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=2&SubmitVat=1&vat=0&SubmitVat=1&vat=1 https://domain.com/?SubmitCurrency=1&id_currency=1&SubmitVat=1&vat=1 All of these urls are the same and should be seen as only https://domain.com This is the same for every url, each product, category etc. How do I fix this so Google only see's each one of these as one page rather than 7? Any help would be appreciated.
Prestachamps
Hi, This is a more complex subject, as Google Addressed this using the old Legacy "URL Parameter" tool. From 2009 you had the option to tell google which parameter used what page type covers(pagination/filter/sorting etc). The tool stopped working at the beginning of 2022 and everybody thought it will be a temporary situation, however last month in April (end of April) 2022 Google discontinued the tool forever - stating that nobody should be worried, and for languages he recommends as before the hreflang option along with robots.txt. I would say to keep on eye on it, but it shouldn't be a problem that needs to be addressed at this stage. Don't forget this is a recent issue based on the tool that has been removed. I hope I could help, Cheers, LEo
