VMT
Hi all, We've recently started getting no emails when orders are placed and unable to update order status with emails. This was working fine via SMTP. When in the backoffice and testing the error we get is: Error: Please check your configuration Expected response code 250 but got an empty response As our Siteground email details and our Prestashop details match, as well as searching for solutions through this forum to no avail, I was hoping to get some advice on what could be the problem. VMT
Spoke with support from Siteground and we went through all their email options and all have the same error, regardless of TLS or None being used and the ports being updated for each config. VMT
Does anyone have advice on this? It still remains an issue and prevents order confirmation emails and contact us form emails being sent.

To set this correctly in SMTP, you need to place main email address. Also "Send test email to" must be same as SMTP username.

The send test email to field is the address to which the test email is sent to, from the SMTP setting email address. We have attempted to: - Update to 1.7.8.5 - Both automatically and manually deleted the cache from var/cache - Flushed our Siteground webhost's cache. - Confirmed multiple types of SMTP settings with Siteground, all feature the same connection issue. However it does also change the error correctly when the wrong password is used. So all 'correct' settings give the above error. Prestachamps
Hi, in order to be properly tested, you can try out two other approaches: 1: configure the SMTP settings to be a personal gmail account or other account where you know that the SMTP mail sending is working, and test using that one if the emails are being sent out using the tester 2: You can also test out if the SMTP sending ow working with this tool: http://zulijani.com/phpmailer/test_script/ Kind regards, Leo.
