Account creation : make "date of birth" mandatory, with an age limit

Hello everyone,

I am working on an e-commerce website that sells alcohol. 
Because of that, we would like to make the "Date of birth" field mandatory on our "create an account" form and that the user can't create an account if he is -18yo.
Any idea on how to do that?

We are using the Prestashop 1.7.8.1

I have found this kind of module, it's our plan B but my client would love to have something less "invasive" (their words)  but more radical, hense the date of birth modified...
