Joey
We're trying to upgrade from 1.7.5.2 to 1.7.8.3 We made a copy of our live shop into a subdirectory, changed the Base URI, and copied our database to a new database. We also modified the parameters.php file to point to the new database copy. Everything seems to work in our shop copy. We did this so we can test upgrading When we try to upgrade we get the Error: Unable to check md5 files error and it won't let us. We did the permissions change on the folders and files in the autoupgrade folder of our shop copy but that doesn't help. The ajax-upgradetab.php file automatically changes permission to 666 when opening the 1 click upgrade module every time. We're not sure if this is an issue. There are no other files in the base autoupgrade directory. We re-installed the module and cleared the cache. Still no luck Any other ideas? We're wondering if we missed a configuration point when copying our shop and database. Thanks
ComGrafPL
Did you also change permissions not only on /modules/autoupgrade but also /adminxxx/autoupgrade ? Edited February 3, 2022 by ComGrafPL (see edit history)
Joey
We never thought of changing permissions in the module folder. We did that but still the same issue. When going through the files we noticed that there isn't an SQL file for 1.7.5.2... just 1.7.5.1. Is this an issue?
Joey
We really don't understand this issue. Maybe we could start by someone explaining what the module is trying to do here and how it's trying to accomplish it.
