caffe663
Hello everyone i want to create a new shop having the same content as my original. And i want to keep both shops( i have 2 hosts). For example: I have Groceryshop.com now i want another shop with the domain Foodshop.com. And Groceryshop.com and Foodshop.com should have the same content. Should i copy all the files and change the ps_url in the database of Foodshop.com. If i do that will it work fine. Please help me. Mr Rick
Hi, You should simply copy whole website, as its a different hosting so i think it would be best thing to do.

Thank you for replying to me Matt Rix But the domain will point back to the original shop is that correct? So i have to adjust it in the database. And also do i have to install the same prestashop version or do i just copy it all at once.
Mr Rick
Sure, you have to edit the URL in the DB to point it. Just copy the whole PrestaShop, no need to reinstall it.

Rhobur
Why not use the PrestaShop multishop feature? Have many shops using the same install and database.

El Patron
this is bad idea. one or both shops, but most likely one will receive duplicate content penalty. you can only do this safely if only one gtld and the other a cctld url.
El Patron
or you use this module of ours, much simpler, safer...single ps installation, multiple domains but without ps multishop https://prestaheroes.com/products/prestashop-multistore-multishop-pro?variant=40653348012239
