bnadauld
I've moved to a AWS VPS and all went well. ...Now my store is updated and finished; i updated my old hosting companies (ipage) 'a' record with the ip address of the new server and i get an error when i put in my url: Forbidden You don’t have permission to access / on this server. Not sure what happening??? Everything was working fine when my:ps_configuration table - PS_SHOP_DOMAIN and PS_SHOP_DOMAIN_SSL & ps_shop_url - domain and domain_ssl ...were set to the ip address of the server. As soon i replace the EIP with www.url.com in the db entries (above) and the dns is propagated, i get the error. Do i need to adjust the .htaccess file? i cant get into the back office to regen the .htaccess file. happy new year and thanks Edited January 1, 2022 by bnadauld (see edit history)
Rhobur
the .htaccess (although it can regenerate) but most importantly, the domain and physical_uri from the ps_shop_url table.

Rhobur
just myurl.com for domain and / for physical_uri if it is in the web server root
bnadauld
so you DONT think that its my htaccess file thats casusing it? then maybe its the ssl cert or a misconfig in Apache
Rhobur
you can even delete the .htaccess, it'll get recreated

bnadauld
SOLVED - could be one or both things needed: New A record was needed to be added in my hosting company DNS list - there was one '@' that i had changed and a second was added (*) - both with the new EIP address or/and Propagation took over 48 hours
