Prestashop 1.7 Product Admin Page slow

Hello, I have a problem with product admin page on Prestashop 1.7, it loads very slow and it is caused by the category tree. I have over 7000 categories and the page loads EVERY SINGLE ONE. I tested the difference without the category tree by commenting the code where the categories are handled, which increased the speed of loading the page significantly (from 6,5s to 1s).

I believe that there is a way to make the category tree load only some categories instead of all. In prestashop 1.6, the way category tree is handled, is that only the category where product belongs and parent categories are expanded instead of all, and when I click on some other category which is collapsed, it sends a request.
