SVG icons missing from /assets/css folder after an update

Hello,

I updated Prestashop to 1.7.8.2 last night and since then no icons load in the front store. It looks like an issue with the classic template - all pages try to load .svg or .ttf files from /assets/css directory, but they are all missing - the only files in there are theme.css and error.css.

I can see these kinds of errors in the dev console: 

Those missing .svg, .woff, .ttf etc. files are all being loaded from /assets/css directory, where they are clearly missing.

Do you know what can be causing this problem? How to make these files load to that directory properly? If there is no suitable solution, I will have to go back to the previous version of the store. Thank you in advance.

I copied those missing files from classic.zip file in /themes directory and now they work properly, but should it behave this way? Why were they missing in the first place?

Where can I find this files /:path? 

i have the same problem , after upgrading prestaschop to latest 

Search icon is  gone ,     account icon is gone. , basket (shopping icon)  is gone
