watou
Hello, I've been using the PrestaShop web service with great success for some time now, to synchronise product information frrom an external source. My problem is that the Smarty cache retains stale information after products have been updated via the web service, requiring a completely different programmatic path in order to invalidate caches. Is it intentional that a Back Office user can modify a product and whatever relevant FO cached elements are handled, while in contrast updating a product via the web API does not correct stale caches so that customers can be given incorrect prices, quantities, etc.? Further, why is it that there is no web service interface for addressing stale caches, forcing the developer to use external, third-party or home made solutions? Thank you very much for any explanations or guidance you can give. watou
