How to get back the thumbnail images in the productcataloge of PrestaShop 1.7.8.1?

My PrestaShop backoffice (admin-panel), does not show up any more the thumbnails on each productline in my admin-panel product listing? Any advise how to get them back?

I did it, but the images in the product-cataloge does still not show up. In the front office, everything looks fine. Only I have lost the thumbnail images in my product cataloge admin panel (back office).

I tried both Edge and Chrome. Result is the same, no thumbnail images displayed.

If you stop at that point that can be seen in the position of the image and you tell it to inspect with the right click of the mouse, can you see the path of the image?

Your statement also catches my attention, before could you see these images? did you do an update recently? did you clear the cache? did you install any module?

Regenerating images will not make a difference here.

The tiny images that you see in the backoffice are generated on the fly and are stored in the /img/tmp directory. Their name is always the product id followed by .jpg. 

My suggestion would be to empty the /img/tmp directory.

@Vidar Bjerkeland  You can follow musicmaster suggestion and also check your im/tmp folder permissions.  Hope it will solve your issues

Check in image table if there are rows with cover = 1. If not, that's the issue.

make sure you img/tmp folder actually exists.

if you delete it, it will not be recreated automatically
