Website Switcher | 2 Websites in One

Hello everybody,

We will be selling shoes and wine in a physical store, and wish to create a website using PrestaShop.

The idea would be to have a main page let say xyz.com with a selection

- or shoes (xyz.com/shoes)

- or wine (wyz.com/wine)

both of them being kind of "homepages", with same theme, template, design, etc just the products and other pages would be different

And also have a Switcher on top of the menu, doing a change of the website instantly.

Is there a way to do so?

Thanks a lot in advance!

Chris

shoes and wine would be separate categories, so that not an issue.

My advice is to build your catalog/cart using default theme.  Then when that bit done you can find a theme to apply your desired visitor experience, better yet after you build catalog hire an agency or the actual theme developer to install/configure the theme.  Also search this product vertical, see how high end shops you aspire to do it.  This will give you insights on how you can present you data.

wine and shoes, a first loool..

Yes, about the separate shops it is alright for that matter, different categories so we won't display the shoes on the wine shop and neither the other way around.

I was here more looking for a way to switch from one website to the other, both being on the same domain name, using a little button like this :

Switcher.PNG.2e634782b172c5967266923f616765e4.PNG   With another design of course

For example, left is the shoes shop, right is the wine shop.

Both having the same domain address, theme and template, just the colors and design being a bit different, and of course each website would have his unique page regarding brands, products, etc. Some page could be common, such as "Contact", "About us", etc.

What would be the best way to do so? Is there a module, a plugin, a guide to follow?

Thanks in advance !

you want same domain but two different product verticals, assign each top level category wine/shoes....then build products associated to them.

to many think home page, if they land on home page then your seo for a product is not very good, it should have gone to product.

so when they do land on home page, from there they must 'find' the product of interest, so home page is nothing but nav....

how you present you catalog content?  well find a theme that you like, then from that you can begin to imagine how you would present your separate product verticals, which are just categories in ps.
