Gneston
Hi, support for PHP 7.3 ends this year and my sysadmins want me to upgrade to a higher PHP version soon. Unfortunately Prestashop 1.7.8, which works on PHP 7.4, is still in beta and Prestashop 8 is not out yet. To reduce upgrade and testing costs I would prefer to upgrade to Prestashop 8 in one run. When can I expect Prestashop 8 to be available? Or if this would take several months, when will Prestashop 1.7.8 be stable? We want to go international by the end of the year and i really would prefer to do the major version upgrade before enabling multi shop. El Patron
I think you sysadmins need to understand upgrading a feature rich PS is not just a one click process. We do not recommend upgrade of PS because hosting is dropping a perfectly good php version just because they are no longer dev that version. I see this problem all to often, being forced to upgrade because of hosting dictates, many people destroyed their shops doing upgrades.
Priya Rai
The upcoming version of PrestaShop (1.7.8.0) is in Beta mode currently. However, you can still download and check it out. There’s no certainty of its release date. This PrestaShop version (1.7.8.0) will only work with PHP versions 7.1 to 7.4.
