How to display category tree in right column / another block?

Originally the $categories is available in ps_categorytree, which is displaying in let column block

I want to access the categories in category-header.tpl file

I have added

 

      displayRightColumn:
        - ps_categorytree

into theme.yml, but I do not think it gave me the categories array anyway...
