JBW
Some caching is always on - files will be stored in /var/cache (sometimes you need to hard delete them there)
ComGrafPL
Try with LiteSpeed cache module. Best way ever.
danielsaar
Hi JBW, some User of the Backend aren't developer. They haven't any knowledge about FTP or shell. How a "normal" User of the Presta-Backend can delete the cache? What is a good process there? The Backend-User should call the developer to delete the "/var/cache" - Files? yours, Daniel ps: checking LiteSpeed... EDIT 1::: I stopped "checking". -> After installing the module I saw, that I need a LiteSpeed-Webserver. Sorry, Too complicated. JBW
Usually deleting cache from backend is sufficient. Only in few cases you need to delete the directory from FTP (e.g. after changing PHP versions). FTP usage has nothing to do with development - if you run your own shop these are basics you should be able to master, it's not more complicated then deleting files on your windows PC. Anyway that was not your question but I though giving you some extra information might be helpful, so now you can save the money for your developer in case you face certain errors. danielsaar
Hi JBW, ok, I understand. And yes, "FTP" is easy. "Has nothing to do" - For non-developers it is a bit unusual and some are shocked ... I just ask directly: In case of changes in CSS or JS-Code, deleting cache from backend is sufficient? yours Daniel
