Create own Theme with blog and video section

Hi,

We are in the process of opening a e-shop with bio, organic and ecological food and non-food products and would like a theme with our own logo and graphics.

What would be the best and easiest way to make our own Theme, layout and design? We would like a minimalistic design with presentation of products, a blog and video section in a green colour.

Are there any guides, tips and tricks, do´s and dont´s you can help us with?

We are new to Prestashop but like the overall idea and possibilities...

I f you should have a link for inspirational site dealing with groceries og foodstuff we would love to be inspired by it.

We have beginner coding experience and heavy photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator sklills at first hand.

You must use "Firebug" (Firefox addon) to modify the theme, modifiing any template is very easy using that tool.
