kazikus1997
Hello, I have a problem adding logo to prestashop. when I add the file and save I get the following error message. Does anyone know what is the solution or what could be the cause? Edited August 2, 2021 by kazikus1997 (see edit history)
Zohaib-fk
How is logo added? There are 2 ways. One via Themes & Logo back-office menu option and second is psrootfolder/img folder has logo.jpg file , this need to be updated via FTP.
kazikus1997
The administrator adds a photo. Just using the first way, then I get this error message. The second way works, but I need to put .png there, not jpg as it is now. Do you have any idea? ; /
Zohaib-fk
try second way by converting jpg to png. The first way try by clearing cache or I will check for solution if any.
kazikus1997
But the problem is, it refers to a .jpg file in the code, so if you change the file to png it won't work. I would have to change the link to the file, but how in the code?
SmartDataSoft
@kazikus1997 Are you using any thirdparty theme or default PrestaShop theme. If you upload png image and front end show .jpg extension in that case theme coding use .jpg hard code. Other wise file extension must be same as backend and front end. kazikus1997
This is a third party theme. It used to be in png and it was ok, only I could add this logo via the admin panel. Now, unfortunately, I can't because the error is showing up. I think that if I had loaded the .png file there correctly, it would be ok. But how to solve this error? Zohaib-fk
You need to give the same name and format extension jpg or png before uploading via FTP, it will override the old image. This is an alternate solution until the admin panel error is fixed in uploading an image.

Did you update your PrestaShop to new version , is your theme admin js compatible with your PrestaShop version. You can contact theme author for latest theme and module file or follow @Zohaib-fk solution for now Thank you
