Prestashop Facebook - Messenger plugin not working

When I installed Facebook, the messenger plugin was working. I then updated PS (I think from 1.7.7.2 to 1.7.7.4) and it stopped. Several Facebook module updates have come and gone and it hasn't fixed the issue (even turning off the messenger plugin in the module or in Facebook hasn't helped).

I am wondering if anyone else has this problem?

I not have it working by pasting the code from Facebook into the theme/_partials/headers.tpl file but this surely shouldn't be needed?

Reset module. Did you update PS and it stop working?

Hey there, 

I found a way how to resolve this without reinstalling the module (btw reinstalling didn't help me):

1. Go to Design->Positions and click "Transplant module" on the top right
2. Select Facebook module from the list, Transplant to "displayFooter". In Exceptions area you can choose exception pages for the module (pages where you don't want it to be shown). 
3. Hit "Save", then clear the Prestashop cache, caching module cache if you have it and refresh the page.
4. Enjoy it working!

Just in case: My PS version is 1.7.8.6, but should work for all 1.7.3.x+
