Prestashop installation (1.7.7.5) fails at Installing Addon modules - "ps_metrics1: Cannot install module "ps_metrics""

hi Folks,

i've been rebuiilding and creating test/dev servers for the last month, and as of this morning, have hit this issue on a new rebuild. new ubuntu ser, new mysql server. Have torn down the server, torn down the DB, and rebuilt all from scratch... no idea, still scratching my head.

Using Php 7.2.

Max_execution_time is set to 0 and php memory is set to 2GB.

no idea how to troubleshoot this!

Probably server side issue. I recently made new, clean PS install without any issue. Still, I have use on PHP 7.3, but this shouldn't be an issue. I would recommend installing lower version of PS and upgrade later on to recent one.

So... after much fighting, clearing cookies / cache / private mode browsing... i started getting an error 500.

I went and changed the permissions in the prestashop/install directory to 777 and it worked.

what a pain...

I'm having the same issue, but I've tried multiple Prestashop 1.7.6 and 1.7.7

Setting all file permissions to 777 didn't help.. the same issue ps_metrics1: Cannot install module "ps_metrics" with different versions.. changed multiple php settings, but I found in public_html/var/logs this error
