custom payment module with custom feature

i'm trying to build a custom payment module for my client with customer cancellation option so that any customer can cancel the order from front end order history table page. I tried to search help files the web but can't find how to implement the cancel button from customer side in code. Wondering if anyone can please help?
In summary what I am trying to find any help documentation / tutorial / example on is :
1- Best way to add cancel button in order history page table?
2- Best hook to use when the customer click this custom cancel button he trigger the same cancel function which placed in the admin back office?
