problems transfer prestashop (free host to localhost)

Recommended Posts

hi
i wanted to transfer my prestashop from 000webhost.com free webhosting with lots of problems to wamp local server to be able to work on it with less connection problems so

problem is while doing that localhost is not showing the prestashop, i exported out of free host
and imported into new database on wamp server and did change (according to other posts in this forum)
the config.inc, well as far as i know what i can replace

but i see i still have connection with my free webhost i mean you can see in attachment it's linked to free tea.hostoi.com, i guess this should be in this files changed into http://localhost/ but i see
this are 1250 files to be changed hmmm i guess this could be changed in some other file???

can't find where i can change this problem (must be somewhere in 1 file to change the url), if this problem is causing my problem what i think it is

someone who can help me with the problem which makes me nuts :s

thx a lot

yes i can, but i have prestashop still on my free webhost (because when wamp server is not working, i wouldn't have to start all over again with a free webhost), so i can login at http://www.tea.hostoi.com/admin123'>http://www.tea.hostoi.com/admin123 (through free webhost) but i can't buy going to localhost, so i can't see localhost after changing in config-file,
before starting to change lots of url's in files (http://www.tea.hostoi.com into localhost.com) when i went see localhost it linked automatically to http://www.tea.hostoi.com, but it didn't worked offline),
so i can't login in admin prestashop through that localhost
but can still through that free webhost right now

i was thinking well don't have sence to work at my backend through free webhost admin and make even more changes when i can't move the system to another host, it would mean all my work is for nothing when i must totally rebuild and restart new prestashop, even when rebuilding on localhost, well guess will have same problems later on when after testing i would like to transfer to some paid hosting i guess

i first tried to install on usbwebserver before trying wamp but it was same problem, localhost:8080 was not giving my prestashop for certain reason must forget something i guess

are can i change that through admin? cause i was thinking that prestashop is linked to freewebhost on moment i installed prestashop or just before that ...?

thx for your reply

i just changed host my self, and domain name, all i had to do to get it working was change the URL under the preferences, SEO & URLS option...

i see you said aswell that you are going to go for paid host in the future, dsphosting.com i think it is will give you STABLE free hosting, i used them in the past and they did alright for me, no support at all though, so any problems you have to sort yourself but they honestly never had any downtime when i was using them.
